Psilocybin Journey
At Lucid Cradle, you are invited to begin your journey with a rounded and supported intensive experience. Ideally, you will receive services in a 3-consecutive-day package, but depending on your particular needs, a one day session may suffice.
After a preliminary evaluation of fit based on your needs and desires, you and Jeanette can agree to work together. These assessments of fit can happen through written communication, phone conversations, virtual meetings and in-person meetings, and are offered free of charge. When you are ready to commit to working with Jeanette, your appointment will be scheduled. Payment must be rendered in full before your journey commences, during our first in-person meeting at preparation. Payment can be rendered in cash, by check or paid with a credit card. All psilocybin sales are in cash only.
You will be asked to complete forms put together by the Oregon Psilocybin Services Authority, and sign several Lucid Cradle forms. You will be able to complete this paperwork at your convenience.
I keep all client files on paper, and encourage you to print out all of the forms sent to you electronically and complete them by hand. We will carefully review all of the information together during in-person preparation and answer any questions you have.
Especially for clients looking to address symptoms of conditions, the support of their existing treatment team will be important. Jeanette may suggest you give permission for your professional healthcare team to share information with each other and optimize the individualized care you will receive.
Lucid Cradle does not record (audio or visual) client sessions.
PREPARATION
If you booked a one-day session, our preparation will consist of meeting at Lucid Cradle for 2 hours, reviewing all the intake paperwork, familiarizing yourself with the physical space, discussing details for the following day (Administration), and using the Shiftwave system, if you wish.
If you decide to commit to a 3-day (or more) intensive, you will spend 6-9 hours with Jeanette. During this time, you will (in addition to the above) have the opportunity to go on a walk and share a meal (or two), verbally explore in greater depth what feels important to you and receive the support that is uniquely suited to your needs.
Lucid Cradle makes available the use of the Shiftwave system – zero-gravity recliner with 14 percussive elements built into it, which pulse through the body and flush the nervous system and realign optimal physiological function through resonance. This system has been demonstrated to be effective in the treatment of several conditions including post-traumatic stress and chronic pain. Utilizing this wonderful tool can help you better prepare for your psilocybin session, and could be a lovely addition to your integration work following the psilocybin experience. You might even enjoy it during the administration session.
ADMINISTRATION
The day you will experience psilocybin. Jeanette will make a recommendation on the dose, but the final decision about how much psilocybin you would like to consume will remain up to you as long as you remain within the legal limits set forth by Oregon Psilocybin Services. The maximum dose in one administration session is 50mg psilocybin analyte. Different types and batches of mushrooms will vary in potency, so the mass of the dried mushrooms may vary. You will receive psilocybin products from a Lucid Cradle Host and consume as much of the psilocybin product as you wish right then. You may reserve some of the psilocybin to take one hour later (will be timed) as a secondary dose, but whatever is not consumed right at the start or one hour after the initial consumption, will have to be destroyed by the Lucid Cradle Host before you leave the center.
During the administration session, Lucid Cradle will be hosting only you. Jeanette will be with you, present and non-directive for as many hours as the journey demands. For larger doses, you should plan on about 8-10 hours for the experience before you are ready to be picked up (or driven to your hotel or home by Jeanette). You will not be able to leave Lucid Cradle during the administration session, and your stay inside will be comfortable. With a luxurious bed in a separate room, an indulgent and texturally rich social area, live plants, original artwork, a sound system and the Shiftwave chair, you will be able to find both rest and excitement as your journey unfolds. If you desire conversation or ritual, Jeanette will be happy to engage. If you are feeling a pull inward, Jeanette will not dissuade your internal inquiry with distractions.
INTEGRATION
While all psilocybin journeys are unique and different, the need to share and make sense of the altered state experiences tends to occur regularly. This day is reserved for you to share or feel into what happened while you were in an altered state – what thoughts, feelings, desires, images, projections came up and what are you experience in response. Even unpleasant experiences (“bad trips”) can present amazing therapeutic opportunities when integration of the material is tended to. Profound insights do not tend to sustain change if the newfound wisdom remains separate from our normal daily functioning. Jeanette will help you return to your daily life with a reset baseline of psycho-spiritual functioning.
Please note that days and even weeks after your psilocybin experience, you may feel more open and emotionally raw. Your integration continues. If you are already working with a therapist, you may want to schedule a few sessions closely following your psilocybin session. It is also advisable to avoid making drastic life changes for a month following a psilocybin experience.
